Becoming a blacksmith happened somewhat by accident.   I have always been interested in blacksmithing but never knew  how to get started.  One day a friend at work asked if I would help him put together a forge.  I started researching and found  out about Tidewater Blacksmith's Guild.  My Son and I joined and  have been smithing ever since.
